It was a fun evening for Sachin Tendulkar’s fans as the cricket maestro launched his app-100 MB yesterday. The launch event was also attended by Sonu Nigam. The MB in (100MB) stands for the soubriquet ‘Master Blaster’ that Tendulkar has earned in his career’s fabulous innings.
The app which will give you a chance to get up close and personal with Tendulkar as it will have all updates related to him will also feature a song sung by Sonu Nigam and Sachin Tendulkar. That’s the reason Sonu was present at the do.
‘Naacho, Naacho, Naacho sari cricket wali beat pe’ is a cricket-theme song composed by Shamir Tandon.
"Talking about his singing debut, Sachin said, I have always been fond of music. I never thought I would sing a song. My wife (Anjali) is the brain behind me singing this song. It was her idea. She was the only one who believed I could sing.”
While Sonu Nigam was all praise for Sachin’s singing talent. He said, “Singers sing, but don’t pitch. But the master batsman was pitching it right. It was a heartening feeling. We did not have to use the pitch corrector for Sachin. He did a very good job without the pitch corrector.”
Sonu Nigam also added that people fall in three categories – talented, genius and blessed. Sachin falls in the blessed category. He revealed that he first heard Sachin sing and told the composer Shamir Tandon that Tendulkar is one to whom god has given something extraordinary. He is blessed with something divine.
Well, we’re sure Sachin Tendulkar and Sonu Nigam’s fans can’t wait to hear them sing together.
